Smooth, light and rich. That’s pretty much all that needs to be said about this chocolate. However, that doesn’t really do it justice.

When you take a bite, it’s like slicing butter at room temperature.

There’s just a hint of the champagne to balance out the chocolate packed into this truffle. Inside is a dark chocolate filling that is just as airy and light as the rest of the truffle.
Thanks Charisse!

In honor of the Lunar Eclipse I present “Moon Cycle” from Dagoba Chocolates.
I have to admit, the first time I tasted this bar I was not impressed. In fact, Tom, Charisse (who bought the bar for me) and myself called it “soulless” - ouch! Maybe my taste buds were blasted after eating a spicy noodle dish at Noodle Theory hours earlier.

A week later, I sampled the bar again with a nice cup of Evening Delight tea and I felt drastically different. Maybe I was expecting the worst, but this time the bits of raspberry in the bar agreed with me. This time the percentage of dark chocolate (74%) worked well. This time I enjoyed my experience.

I must disclose that I was suffering from a head cold on the day of my first bite (ding!). So maybe I was a little out of it, but that doesn’t explain why Tom & Charisse felt the as I did a week ago.
For me, Moon Cycle has an earthy taste and a nice balance of dark chocolate flavor. While it doesn’t knock my socks off, I would definitely recommend it. Maybe I just happened to find my “soul” in a weeks’ time.

Descriptor: “Swiss Dark Chocolate with a smooth filling”

One morsel of this tastes like butter. Literally, this will melt in your mouth because it’s so soft. My only real complaint that it melts on your fingers when you pick it up. If you don’t have a napkin - get one.

I can’t say it’s outstanding, but it’s pretty good for chocolate from a movie theater. I believe my sister bought it for $2.50 at the Grand Lake Theater.

It’s labeled as “Dark Chocolate”, and my best guess is around 68% (there’s no official label). It’s a pretty non-offensive chocolate, so maybe even milk chocolate lovers will be able to appreciate this one too.

I’m in between reviews, so I thought I would share. Is this a breakthrough or a scam?
It’s officially called “PMS Support Chocolate Bars”. From the Jaimeson Lab website:
Jamieson PMS Support is a collection of 15 premium soy crisp chocolate bars that are infused with natural botanicals to help relieve both the physical and emotional symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS). It contains a blend of white willow bark, sodium caseinate, artichoke leaf and chasteberry — natural source ingredients that work together to relieve menstrual pain, bloating and irritability.
A few articles debate the substance of the bars.
